Steve was raised in Falls Church, Virginia, the middle child tucked in between two sisters. He received a B.A. from Washington Bible College and then, with an urge for the open road, worked for a year as a missionary in the South Pacific islands of Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand. After a year of teaching high school and middle school, he went back to school himself and earned his M.Ed. from George Mason University. Since that time, Steve has taught college classes; worked in college and law school admissions, and served in a number of positions for the Federal government. Currently, he is program manager within the Department of Treasury.
He came to faith at a relatively early age, coming to believe in God’s promise of new life as a boy. Steve and his wife, Julie, have been attending New Hope Chapel since 2005. He is involved in doing audio for the Worship Team, teaching Bible studies, marriage seminars, and preaching.
Steve has loved Julie for over 30 years (married in 1980). They have four grown children they enjoy seeing every chance they get, and are delighted with their two grandchildren.
